Responsibilities
  • Analyze fragrances (by GCMS) in various consumer products, including Fine Fragrance, Personal Care, Air Care, and Household.
  • Collaborate with perfumers to reconstitute fragrance formulas.
  • Determine fragrance dosage of FF samples using Karl-Fischer.
  • Extract fragrances from personal care & household products using SFE or liquid/liquid extraction.
  • Maintain GC/MS/FID equipment.
  • Interact with internal departments, including Perfumery, Compounding Laboratory, Application, QC, R&D & Evaluation.
Requirements

Candidates should have around 4 years of experience in the Fragrance Industry, with exposure to perfumery raw materials and/or fragrances, and previous experience in GC/MS analysis.

Suitable skills include:

  • Able to smell and ideally have olfactive knowledge of perfumery raw materials.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Flexible yet methodical with attention to detail.
  • Good Laboratory Practices.
  • Good team-player.
  • Quick-learner.
  • Result-oriented.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry studies, preferably with a specialization in chemical analysis.
