Job Overview

This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead engineering projects that drive the expansion and upgrade of Amazon's network across Africa, Middle East and Turkey region.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple large-scale projects, planning, design, procurement, installation, commissioning and qualification, launch support. The ideal candidate will have strong technical background in relevant fields of automated or non-automated material handling equipment.

  1. Diversity of Projects: Support both new launches (Greenfield), as well as retrofit of our existing buildings (Brownfield).
  2. Wide Project Scope: Focus on automation technologies (conveyance, sortation), Good-lifts (VRC) and Storage solutions.
  3. E2E Project Lifecycle: Support End-to-End project lifecycle from Solutions to Go-Live, including concept design, budget request, vendor selection, detailed engineering, planning, execution, qualification.

During pre-execution phase, the PM is expected to lead or contribute to design and technology development; understand individual pieces of equipment, their application, benchmark performance and propose innovation. The PM will be focused on meeting the needs of our internal customers to deliver systems which are safe, easily maintainable, ergonomic and reduce manual labor.

Main Responsibilities

  1. End-to-end ownership for large-scale engineering projects
  2. Provide value engineering and innovative solutions to drive frugality and continuous improvements
  3. Lead technical design reviews and propose design solutions for material handling and storage solutions that meet business needs and internal standards
  4. Create, submit and track CAPEX requests to ensure all projects are delivered within best overall value
