About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled MEP Design Lead (Buildings) with a Mechanical Building Services bias to join our team at Beeby Anderson Recruitment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional to take on a leadership role and drive the success of our clients' projects.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Represent and interact daily with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
  2. Lead and manage the MEP design teams over multiple projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  3. Coordinate with other services and/or sub-consultants to ensure effective project execution.
  4. Demonstrate commercial awareness and make informed decisions to drive project success.
  5. Utilize strong Revit/Grasshopper/Rhino skills to drive digital transformation and innovation in the design process.

Requirements
  1. Hold a Building Services/Mechanical Engineering BEng (Hons)/BSc (Hons) degree.
  2. Be a Chartered Engineer with a relevant institute, such as CIBSE/IET/IMechE.
  3. Have 15+ years' experience in delivering major projects.
  4. Have 10+ years' experience in a multi-disciplinary team leader position.
  5. possess an in-depth understanding of all MEP and building services design processes.
  6. Be able to think laterally and possess a sound understanding of engineering principles.
  7. Have strong interpersonal skills to build and develop relationships, both internally and externally.
  8. Have experience on design and build projects, which would be advantageous.
  9. Have experience of working with contractors.
  10. Have previous experience of leading multi-disciplinary design teams and responsibility for budgets and programming.
  11. Have commercial awareness and an understanding of change control.
  12. Be computer literate with all standard project design and development software.
  13. Have strong communication skills to interact with multiple internal and external teams and project stakeholders.
