Job Title: Senior Civil Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Structural Engineer to join our team at MatchaTalent. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for executing capital projects according to the scope, schedule, and budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Execution: Execute capital projects according to the scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Design and Coordination: Perform complex technical and administrative tasks relative to the design and coordination of civil & structural packages.
  • Technical Input: Provide technical input and review of the design, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup of facilities.
  • Issue Resolution: Address technical issues arising in all phases of the project development related to civil & structural packages of the facilities.
  • Project Development: Responsible for project development: engineering studies, technical bid reviews, preliminary engineering, detail designs, materials procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, handover, commissioning, and startup.
  • Design Review: Review/provide input to the design of civil/structural packages that fully comply with Saudi Aramco standards and specifications.
  • Contractor Management: Manage GES design contractor activities during the development of Pre-FEED & FEED, including definition of project work scope and schedule requirements. Development of detailed estimate leading to funding appropriation and approval.
  • Best Practices: Stay up to date with international procedures of Projects Phases, Engineering Phases, Bidding procedures, Procurement Processes, Construction Requirements, and up-to-date Best Practices.
  • Contract Administration: Have a full understanding of contract documents (inclusive of appendices, drawings, and specifications), project execution plan, interface management, change management, construction sequencing, standards specifications, and project schedule to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Contractor Activities: Review and resolve day-to-day contractors' activities related to assigned project work during construction and ensure HSE compliance.
  • Deliverables: Participate in developing civil/structural packages deliverables and others such as plot plans, Piping Plans, foundation details, load assessments, stress analysis, Data Sheets, structural details, BRAs, geotechnical & soil tests, etc.
  • Material Procurement: Provide design input in identification, sizing, selection, procurement of civil/structural material.
  • Facilities Design: Provide design input to facilities such as pipe racks, substations, PIBs, control buildings, valve stations, process plants of Oil, Gas, refining, NGL, utilities, etc.
  • Change Management: Perform change order scope definition, cost estimation, and assist the PM or Company representative in the change management process.
  • Project Monitoring: Review weekly/monthly reports on the status/progress of contracts, including project costs and schedule. Attend project meetings e.g. progress, stakeholders, design review, value improvement.
  • Project Coordination: Review project schedule, coordinate/monitor assigned project progress and challenge below-par performance of the contractor.
  • Contractor Invoicing: Review, coordinate, monitor invoices (claimed vs actual) and contractor's submittals.
