- Lead and Mentor
- Take charge duties as assigned and serve as a resource nurse and preceptor to support the growth and development of our team.
- Verify staff competency to perform special tasks of nursing care and ensure that our patients receive the highest level of care.
- Collaborate and Communicate
- Function as a primary nurse/total patient caregiver and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to ensure that their needs are met and that they receive the best possible care.
- Education and Licensure
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Registered Nurse License (Hawaii) required at hire.
- Experience and Skills
- One (1) year experience in area of specialty or completion of a formal course in area of specialty within a designated period of time after hire into the specialty.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in adaptability, change management, decision making, detail oriented, customer service, influence, interpersonal relations, oral communication, prioritization, problem solving, quality management, results orientation, system thinking, teamwork, time management, and written communication competencies.
- Experience working with electronic medical records.
- One (1) year experience or completion of formal course in area of specialty.
- Coursework in basic EKG.
