Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Risk Analyst to join our team at Emirates Islamic. As a Credit Risk Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing and evaluating credit risk for our customers, ensuring that our bank's assets are protected and our customers are provided with the best possible financial solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Statement Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of financial statements to assess creditworthiness of customers and identify potential risks.
  • Proposal Development: Develop high-quality proposals for credit facilities, taking into account customer information, industry performance, and market feedback.
  • Customer Engagement: Engage with customers to process transactions, collect documents, and settle payments, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Account Monitoring: Regularly review accounts to enhance utilization and ensure maximum account profitability, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high-quality client proposals and turnaround times, ensuring that all work meets the highest standards.
  • Risk Management: Closely monitor account conduct, tracking excess/past dues, and strictly complying with relevant processes to minimize risk.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with EICRAD for completion of documentations, posting of FRS, and feeding limits, ensuring seamless coordination and communication.
  • Market Research: Regularly review market trends to identify profitable opportunities in selected segments, aligning with the bank's overall policy and risk appetite.
  • Financial Reporting: Obtain quarterly/annual/interim financials from clients, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Transaction Execution: Execute daily transactions, monitor accounts, and contact customers for payments and settlements, ensuring efficient and effective service.
  • Portfolio Monitoring: Monitor quality of the portfolio by tracking excess/past dues, strictly complying with relevant processes, and monitoring risk triggers, covenants, and other credit conditions.
  • Process Improvement: Suggest ways to improve the workflow of relationship management, ensuring continuous improvement and enhancement of processes.
  • Compliance: Maintain proper maintenance of credit files, ensuring audit readiness at all times, and adhere to applicable policies and procedures to safeguard the bank's interests.
  • Information Security: Protect sensitive customer and bank information, handling it appropriately and vigilantly driving staff behavior, holding them accountable for any violation of policy.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to and comply with EI's internal applicable policies and procedures as well as governing regulations issued by concerned authorities.
  • Internal Audit and Risk Management: Cooperate and facilitate work of internal audit and risk management to address gaps, and respond to audit reports within agreed deadlines.
  • Anti-Money Laundering: Monitor money laundering activities, coordinate remedial actions with management, and report any discrepancies to management.

Requirements

  • Education: Relevant education with a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of SME/Credit Analysis experience.
  • UAE Experience: UAE experience is required.
  • Banking Products and Operations: Knowledge of banking products and operations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical thinking skills.
  • Business and Customer Orientation: Business and customer-oriented approach.
