The Corporate sector provides essential support services, including human resources, finance, and information technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the execution of capital projects, ensuring compliance with scope, schedule, and budget.
- Manage the project execution team, offering guidance and direction for successful project outcomes.
- Leverage expertise in petrochemical projects to support the team throughout all project phases.
- Provide technical and project management oversight during design, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and project closeout.
- Address and resolve project issues that arise during all development phases promptly.
- Implement safety protocols during project execution.
- Integrate company initiatives within project and divisional business processes.
- Familiarize with company Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and strive to meet them for projects within the division.
- Prepare and review monthly project performance reports, detailing design status, material procurement, construction milestones, financial commitments, and any variances.
- Anticipate and document changes in project scope, timing, or costs for management approval.
- Allocate appropriate resources to all project phases.
- Ensure that all team members receive suitable training and development opportunities.
- Oversee and review all correspondence related to assigned projects.
- Maintain accurate records for all projects.
- Negotiate agreements and modifications with contractors.
- Guide team members in adhering to company standards, minimizing deviations.
- Take charge of project development, including engineering studies, contractor selection, technical reviews, and project closeout.
- Review project schedules, monitor progress, and address any performance issues with contractors.
- Uphold engineering ethics and maintain high professional standards.
Qualifications:
- Relocation Requirement: This position necessitates the candidate to permanently relocate.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited program; an advanced degree is preferred.
- PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification is required.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in project management, particularly in refining and petrochemical sectors.
- At least seven years of experience as a Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager across various project phases.
- Experience in Engineering Design and Construction phases, with a solid understanding of engineering practices and economic principles.
- Comprehensive knowledge of international project procedures, engineering phases, bidding processes, and procurement practices.
- Mastery of contract documents, project execution plans, and project schedules.
- Expertise in scheduling principles and recovery methods.
- Proficient in managing project cash flow, resource planning, and crisis management.
- A proactive approach to driving project improvements and cost efficiency.
- Willingness to work in diverse teams and adapt to various locations as necessary.
