POSITION: Senior Analyst Engineering Systems

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and automate integration processes for Engineering using Dabacon E3D & Tekla, interfacing with enterprise engineering systems (Aveva, Autodesk, Trimble, and in-house tools).
  • Collaborate with Engineering Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify requirements for business process enhancements and define the Requirement Definition Specification.
  • Translate requirement specifications into automation solutions using Aveva and E3D/PDMS, adhering to best practices established by Aveva, Trimble, and Talent Pal's Global Business Management System (GMS).
  • Provide training to end users and implement developments as standard practices across projects, preparing relevant GMS procedures.
  • Manage change processes related to E3D/PDMS and Tekla automation routines, conducting impact analyses prior to implementation and supporting end users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Demonstrate experience in Tekla modeling and steel detailing.
  • Establish clear plans and set goals for managing assigned activities.
  • Address and troubleshoot critical issues on E3D/PDMS projects.
  • Engage with software vendors and stay updated on the latest application versions.
  • Interface with clients and joint venture partners to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide strategic support and input into the overall engineering vision and development plan.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution, with a minimum of 6 years of experience in a 3D automation role within a corporate environment.
  • Understanding of business processes from FEED to EPC, with experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Preference for candidates with knowledge of business process development in Tekla, in addition to expertise with 3D tools.
  • Knowledge of engineering activities related to 3D systems.
  • Strong proficiency in E3D and PDMS automation, including customization of catalogs, drawings, libraries, and standards.
  • Familiarity with DABACON data structures.
  • Comprehensive programming skills in PML, PML.NET, C#, and SQL queries.
  • Experience in creating APIs, scripts, or new features for a wide range of products, including Trimble, Autodesk, or other in-house solutions.
  • Ability to work independently while actively contributing to team efforts, developing PML codes and interfaces in line with GMS standards and Talent Pal best practices.
  • Capability to develop logic for integrating E3D/PDMS with other products and legacy systems.
  • Knowledge of Aveva ERM, Navisworks, Tekla, and associated metadata.
  • Familiarity with CAD applications such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, and systems like SmartPlant tools.
  • Develop and maintain Corporate Standard Project Setup.
  • Ability to prioritize business demands and manage scheduling effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and logical approach.
