Purchase and Logistics Officer Job Description

Talent Pal is seeking a highly skilled Purchase and Logistics Officer to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing all international purchases, shipping, and logistics, including intercompany transactions within the GCC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage all material requirements for production
  • Collate quotations from suppliers for management review and approval
  • Make purchase orders against approved quotations
  • Ensure all products are in stock at the highest quality and competitive price
  • Initiate purchase orders for ingredients, packaging, and manufacturing supplies, maintaining close coordination with production management
  • Assure timely and safe shipping of products to customers
  • Coordinate copacker purchase orders, ensuring delivery of raw materials, packaging, and labels with sufficient lead time
  • Secure and analyze quotations, negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, and recommend suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery competitiveness
  • Coordinate quality matters and engineering changes/developments between company and suppliers
  • Maintain supplier relationships to check and supervise quality and delivery problems
  • Maintain accurate Cost of Goods Number for each finished goods SKU
  • Oversight of warehouse management
  • Identify suppliers and conduct cost analysis of required materials

Requirements:

  • Deep knowledge of purchasing and logistics processes and best practices
  • Experience in people management
  • Excellent communication and team spirit
  • Proficiency in Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Cost accounting skills
  • Ability to understand financial statements
  • Understanding of e-business/e-procurement systems
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques and market analysis
  • Talent in negotiations and networking
  • Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software
  • Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing data
  • Strong leadership capabilities
  • BSc degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration

Benefits:

Salary: AED 4000 - AED 5500 monthly
