About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Science Manager to join our AWS Generative AI Innovation Center team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the adoption of generative AI solutions across our customer base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work directly with customers to understand their business needs and guide them in implementing generative AI solutions.
  • Develop and lead a team of data scientists, deep learning architects, and ML engineers to build and deploy state-of-the-art generative AI models and pipelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for building reusable technical assets and provide customer and market feedback to inform product direction.
  • Drive revenue growth across a broad set of customers and be a thought leader in the field of generative AI.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Several years of experience in technical management, including a minimum of 1 year in a customer-facing or consulting organization.
  • Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high-performance computing, neural deep learning methods, and/or machine learning.
  • Ability to demonstrate senior stakeholder management skills and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with fairness in machine learning and artificial intelligence to detect and remove bias in ML/AI systems.
  • Hands-on experience with deep learning (e.g., CNN, RNN, LSTM, Transformer).
  • PhD or Masters degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, operations research, or a highly quantitative field.
  • Prior experience in training and fine-tuning of Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Deep expertise in generative AI and hands-on experience of deploying and hosting Large Foundational Models.
  • Experience and deep knowledge of AWS and AWS AI/ML services.
  • Experience as a pre-sales, customer-facing field development manager.
