We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Pipeline Technical Lead to lead a detailed engineering phase of an onshore oil and gas project. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing pipeline systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Technical Leadership: Lead multidisciplinary teams (civil, mechanical, process) to ensure seamless project execution.
- Design and Analysis: Perform detailed engineering for onshore pipeline systems including routing, stress analysis, and material selection.
- Deliverables: Develop pipeline design deliverables such as alignment sheets, pipeline isometrics, and piping class specifications.
- Performance Optimization: Conduct hydraulic and flow assurance studies to ensure optimal pipeline performance.
- Compliance: Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards (e.g. ASME, API) and project specifications.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, and construction stages.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and participate in HAZID/HAZOP reviews to ensure safety in pipeline designs.
- Issue Resolution: Monitor and address technical issues promptly to minimize project delays.
- Documentation: Prepare and review project documentation including technical reports and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in pipeline engineering for large-scale onshore oil and gas projects.
- Strong knowledge of detailed engineering processes and pipeline design tools such as CAESAR II, AutoPIPE, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in industry codes and standards (e.g. ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, API 5L).
- Experience with pipeline construction materials and stress analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work in a team-oriented environment.
