The Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to manage our Museum Educators staffing services for the Zayed National Museum (ZNM). This role will focus on delivering exceptional educational and interpretative visitor experiences while establishing a strong collaborative relationship with ZNM management.

Responsibilities
  • Museum Educators Staffing Management
    • Lead a team of 24 Museum Educators responsible for delivering tours, workshops, and live interpretation across museum spaces.
    • Evaluate Museum Educators' performance and ensure they engage diverse audiences, including the general public and students from schools and universities.
    • Develop and implement effective shift and roster management strategies to cover all opening hours, up to 365 days a year.
    • Identify staffing requirements per shift:
      • Museum Educator Training Manager (1 per shift)
      • Museum Educator (10 per shift) UAE Nationals required.
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for ZNM and DCT, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
    • Facilitate regular meetings with the Interpretation Unit Head to review operations and identify areas for improvement.
    • Maintain open and proactive communication with ZNM management to address any challenges that arise.
  • Account Management and Reporting
    • Guarantee timely and accurate payroll data submission.
    • Deliver comprehensive reports on staffing performance, attendance, visitor feedback, and operational outcomes.
    • Provide regular updates on staff performance and satisfaction, including daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports.
    • Attend weekly on-site meetings at ZNM for the first 3 months; frequency may be adjusted thereafter.
    • Collaborate closely with the BLR WORLD team to meet and exceed ZNM's museum education expectations.
  • Staff Development
    • Evaluate Museum Educators' performance and develop strategies for their professional growth.
    • Collaborate with the Training Manager to identify and address training needs.
    • Nurture a professional, inclusive, and engaging team culture.
  • Performance Monitoring and Quality Assurance
    • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for Museum Educators.
    • Implement continuous improvements based on visitor feedback and operational data.
  • Compliance and Administration
    • Ensure operations adhere to ZNM policies, safety standards, and cultural sensitivities.
    • Maintain accurate records of staffing schedules, training, and performance evaluations.
    • Compile reports for the client and internally on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Museum Studies, Education, Business Management, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in account management, project management, museum education, or cultural program operations.
  • Experience working in the UAE or familiarity with local cultural practices.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is mandatory.
