Position Overview

As a Lead Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing significant capital projects while ensuring adherence to established scope, timelines, and financial plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Execution: Direct the execution of capital projects, ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Technical Oversight: Conduct complex technical and administrative tasks related to the design and coordination of civil and structural packages.
  • Design Review: Provide expert technical input and review throughout the design, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup phases of facilities.
  • Issue Resolution: Address technical challenges that arise during all project development phases concerning civil and structural packages.
  • Project Development: Manage all aspects of project development, including engineering studies, technical bid evaluations, preliminary engineering, detailed designs, materials procurement, and construction oversight.
  • Compliance Assurance: Review and ensure that civil and structural designs comply with industry standards and specifications.
  • Contractor Management: Oversee design contractor activities during Pre-FEED and FEED phases, including defining project work scope and schedule requirements.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about international project phases, engineering standards, bidding procedures, procurement processes, and best practices.
  • Contract Document Familiarity: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of contract documents, project execution plans, and construction sequencing to ensure timely project completion.
  • Contractor Coordination: Review and resolve daily contractor activities related to assigned projects during construction, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Deliverable Development: Participate in the creation of civil and structural package deliverables, including plot plans, piping plans, and structural details.
  • Material Procurement: Provide design input for the identification, sizing, and selection of civil and structural materials.
  • Facility Design Input: Contribute to the design of various facilities, including pipe racks, substations, and process plants.
  • Change Management: Assist in defining change order scopes, cost estimations, and support the project manager in the change management process.
  • Progress Monitoring: Review project schedules, coordinate assigned project progress, and address any underperformance by contractors.
  • Invoice Review: Oversee and monitor invoices and contractor submissions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
