About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Actalent. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical systems for industrial equipment using Solidworks Electrical
  • Work with mechanical designers, sales, vendors, manufacturing, and customers to define requirements for control systems
  • Develop electrical schematics detailing all aspects of control systems
  • Define component layout within enclosures and labeling requirements
  • Creation and maintenance of bill of materials
  • Willingness to complete other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Demonstrated application of engineering principles
  • Experience in control system design for industrial equipment
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, and/or EPLAN
  • Experience with PLC programming, C# preferred
  • Experience in HMI and PC configuration
  • Experience with PID process control and monitoring
  • Experience with troubleshooting and de-bugging hardware and software
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP
  • Experience with variable frequency drives
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5-10 years of experience with Solidworks Electrical
  • Prior experience in or knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication processes
  • Prior experience in aerospace and defense manufacturing
