Job Title: Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Zutari is seeking a highly skilled Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to partner with our established team of geotechnical engineers and engineering geologists. The successful candidate will provide technical delivery, project management, and problem-solving expertise, with a focus on analysis and design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the geotechnical team to deliver projects on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Liaise with other design disciplines to develop and maintain design coordination.
  • Responsible for winning work for the broader geotechnical team and building strong client relationships.
  • Apply new knowledge to deliver and devise new approaches in solving complex ground problems.
  • Ensure timely delivery of geotechnical deliverables and manage client expectations.
  • Be a team player willing to collaborate across multiple disciplines and international geographies.
  • Resolve project-level issues independently.
  • Mentor junior geotechnical and geology resources.
  • Support business development activities.
Requirements
  • BEng or BSc degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Registration as a Chartered Engineer or equivalent.
  • Experience with geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio, or similar).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A post-graduate qualification in Geotechnical Engineering will be highly beneficial.
  • A minimum of 8 years post-graduate experience in Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Solid understanding of soil and rock mechanics is essential.
  • Solid experience in the design of foundations for buildings and structures, slope stabilization, and ground improvement.
