Job Description

Position Overview:

The IT Solutions Architect is a key member of the Duncan & Ross team, responsible for designing and implementing technology solutions that align with the strategic objectives of the organization. This role involves working closely with business leaders, IT teams, and external vendors to develop architectures that meet both current and future business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Design Comprehensive IT Solutions: Develop and design comprehensive IT solutions that address business requirements and align with the organization's goals, including software, hardware, network, and infrastructure components.
  • Create and Maintain Architectural Blueprints: Create and maintain architectural blueprints, diagrams, and documentation to guide the development and integration of IT systems.
  • Evaluate and Recommend New Technologies: Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and platforms that could enhance the organization's IT capabilities. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, and third-party vendors, to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure that solutions meet business needs.
  • Ensure Compliance and Security: Ensure that all IT solutions adhere to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies, including security and data privacy regulations.
  • Oversee System Integration: Oversee the integration of various systems, applications, and platforms, ensuring seamless interoperability and data flow across the organization's IT landscape.
  • Lead IT Projects: Lead the technical aspects of IT projects, providing oversight and direction to ensure successful delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints.
  • Address Technical Issues: Address and resolve architectural and technical issues that arise during the development and implementation of IT solutions.
  • Document Solutions Architecture: Create and maintain detailed documentation for solutions architecture, including design specifications, system configurations, and integration processes.
  • Mentor and Guide Team Members: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior architects, developers, and other IT staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree or relevant certifications are preferred.

Experience:

  • IT Architecture Experience: 10 years of experience in IT architecture, systems integration, and solution design.
  • Proven Track Record: Proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale IT solutions in complex environments.
  • Cloud Computing Experience: Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-based architectures.
  • Enterprise Architecture Frameworks: Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or similar.

Technical Skills:

  • Software Development Methodologies: Proficiency in software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps.
  • System Integration: Expertise in system integration, including APIs, microservices, SOA, and middleware.
  • Security Architecture: Strong knowledge of security architecture, including identity management, encryption, and access control.
  • Database Design and Management: Experience with database design and management (SQL/NoSQL) and data integration.
  • Tech Stack: Microsoft (CRM), MS SQL Server, Genesys, F5, Palo Alto, Fortinet Fortigate, OPSWAT, ForgeRock, Cyberark, Infoblox, Informatica, Liferay, SAG -Webmethods, Dynatrace, Teradata, GITLAB, DOCKER, ARIS (software AG)

Soft Skills:

  • Communication and Presentation: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Leadership abilities with experience in leading cross-functional teams.
