Job Description

The Senior Rolling Stock Engineer oversees the design review and construction supervision of rolling stock at AMCO. This role involves ensuring compliance with project requirements and coordinating with various teams to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design review and integration of rolling stock, ensuring seamless coordination with internal teams.
  • Evaluate and approve technical designs and specifications, guaranteeing adherence to industry standards and project requirements.
  • Manage and conduct testing and commissioning of rolling stock by D&B contractors, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with signaling, telecommunications, and power supply teams to ensure system performance and optimize overall efficiency.
  • Provide technical support and training to maintenance teams, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and expertise development.
  • Conduct site inspections and assessments to identify potential issues and implement preventive measures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve rolling stock issues in a timely and efficient manner, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
  • Prepare and present rolling stock reports to stakeholders, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a reputable institution.
  • At least 7 years of experience in rolling stock specific engineering, with a strong background in project management and technical skills.
  • Knowledge of rolling stock systems and industry standards, with a focus on innovation and best practices.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with rail vehicle systems, including design, testing, and commissioning.
  • Familiarity with rolling stock software tools, such as Siemens Rail ITS or Alstom's Genasys.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and deadlines, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
