The successful candidate will be responsible for negotiating and fixing spot cargoes on various routes, allocating contract cargoes to assigned ships to maximize financial results within prevailing market conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Negotiate spot/time charters to achieve maximum income for ship owners
  • Market tonnage to customers/shippers/charterers
  • Drive revenue and develop client base
  • Coordinate cargo allocation and vessel operations to maximize space utilization and minimize port calls

Requirements

  • Successful track record of shipbroking within Dry Cargo with 1-5 years experience
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong commercial judgment and numeracy skills
  • Able to work well under pressure and maintain accuracy and attention to detail
