Job Responsibilities

  • Navigate complex market conditions to secure spot cargoes on various routes and allocate contract cargoes to assigned vessels.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to drive revenue growth.
  • Maintain awareness of each ship's position and adapt to changing market conditions.
  • Coordinate spot and contract cargo allocation to assigned vessels.
  • Identify and pursue business opportunities, presenting them to potential clients and negotiating key terms.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline operations, reduce costs, and boost voyage profitability.
  • Facilitate transshipments for specific cargoes.
  • Manage contracts of affreightment with customers to ensure timely nominations and align vessel schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for tonnage loading within the service.
  • Stay updated on relevant charter party forms and company standard terms.
  • Understand the business strategy and identify new opportunities tied to market trends, products, and clients.
  • Establish new client connections and nurture existing relationships.
  • Offer expert market analysis and insights to clients.
  • Monitor the dry cargo market landscape.
  • Engage with clients at social events as required.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as necessary to support the business.
