Job Description:

Parsons Oman is seeking a highly skilled Land Surveyor to join our infrastructure team in Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct land and field surveys, perform geodetic calculations, and structural inspections to ensure accurate project data.
  • Collaborate with clients and contractors to determine and verify project survey requirements, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Complete surveying tasks on schedule, within man-hour and cost budgets, and maintain accurate records of survey information.
  • Verify setting-out and levels, check services locations, and ensure their protection to ensure project safety.
  • Prepare sketches to support field work and maintain all survey information, including field books, sketches, and calculations.
  • Measure work done as required and observe site safety procedures to prevent accidents.
  • Assist in preparing 'as-built' drawings and participate in health and safety initiatives as required by the Resident Engineer and project Safety Representative.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Surveying or Diploma in Civil Engineering with a minimum of six years of experience in infrastructure, street lighting, and road projects.
  • Proficiency in using CAD software, survey software, total station, data collectors, and GPS equipment.
  • Working knowledge of construction sequences and standard work procedures in the industry.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with management and staff.
  • Ability to communicate logically and clearly with stakeholders.
  • Commitment to safe work practices and adherence to industry standards.
  • Registration as a practicing engineer in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
