GHD is seeking a highly skilled Site Architect Lead to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Coordination: Lead the coordination process with other disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Technical Support: Assist the Resident Engineer in performing contractual duties onsite, providing technical expertise and guidance as needed.
  • Document Management: Process contract documents, assist contract administration, and develop, modify, and review production drawings and construction documents.
  • Design Review: Correct and update design documents, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Technical Resource: Serve as an architectural resource for the Design department, providing technical support and guidance as needed.
  • Problem-Solving: Provide resolution for technical engineering problems within the assigned discipline(s), coordinating application of solutions to ensure progress on site.
  • Technical Advice: Advise the project manager on any technical aspects of the architectural works that may affect construction progress, quality, and other related factors.
  • Quality Control: Monitor the interior architectural works for conformance with the provisions of the contract documents and procedures manual.
  • Shop Drawings and Submittals: Review and process all shop drawings and architectural technical submittals, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • RFI Response: Answer RFI's related to interior and architecture, providing timely and accurate responses.
  • Construction Submittals: Review construction submittals from project inception to close-out, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Method Statement Review: Review Contractor's installation method statements, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Shop Drawing Review: Review Contractor's shop drawings against the design [tender] drawings for compliance with the design intent and return to project manager with appropriate comments/approval.
  • Material Proposal Review: Review Contractor's material proposals against specified technical performance requirements and advise the Project Manager on the appropriateness of the proposals.
  • Subcontractor Review: Review Contractor's proposed subcontractor(s) associated with the engineering works from a technical standpoint.
Project Site Observation:
  • Procurement and Delivery: Monitor procurement and deliveries to ensure timeliness in support of construction activities and schedule within the assigned discipline.
  • Site Observation: Undertake general project site observation/inspection of the works for Contractor's adherence to the approved shop drawings and Consultant's specification, good working practices, the construction schedule, and health & safety.
  • Snagging and De-Snagging: Lead the snagging and de-snagging process with an aim to progress the works to completion through this process.
  • Meetings and Instructions: Attend project, site progress, and any related technical meetings as directed by the project manager, and prepare draft site/engineer's instructions, relating to the project, as required and issue to the Project Manager.
