We are seeking a highly experienced PMC Senior Technical HSE Engineer to join our team at Wood. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical safety expertise to our clients in the oil and gas industry.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Safety Expertise: Provide technical safety expertise to our clients, including participating in project HAZOP, HAZID, and SIL studies, and providing sound technical advice and solutions to a diversity of technical problems.
- Project Coordination: Coordinate with other disciplines during all stages of design development, construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to site as required, including producing and reviewing specifications, data sheets, schedules, study reports, and design calculations.
- Client Communication: Attend client meetings and communicate issues with lead engineers as required.
- Team Collaboration: Interact with team members in a positive and professional manner at all times.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure self-awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives, and industry technology developments.
- Technical Knowledge: Thorough knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of Technical Safety engineering methodologies, software systems, and design practices as they relate to FEED, Detail Design, Construction, Commissioning, and plant Start-up.
- International Codes and Standards: Thorough awareness of international codes and standards.
- Loss Prevention: Experience of design deliverables associated with loss prevention scopes.
- HAZOP and HAZID Studies: Experience of coordinating HAZOP, HAZID, and SIL Classification studies.
- Management of Change: Experience of directing Management of Change (MOC) reviews.
- Physical Hazard Effects Modelling: Able to perform Physical Hazard Effects (PHE) modelling as required.
- Quantitative Risk Assessments: Able to interrogate and review Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA) as required.
- Deputizing for Lead Engineer: Deputizing for lead engineer where required.
- Personal Objectives: Executing assigned personal objectives.
- Third Party Suppliers: Management of third party suppliers in the execution of engineering delivery.
- Education: BSc, BEng or equivalent with extensive relevant experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years relevant experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Project Experience: Experience of Concept / FEED project phases.
- Industrial Experience: Demonstrable balance of industrial experience at a relevant level and position.
- EPC Company Experience: Minimum of 6 years proven capability in an EPC company.
- Site-Based Project Work: Previous experience of site-based project work involving field engineering, construction, commissioning, operations, or maintenance would be an advantage.
- Multi-National and Multi-Cultural Project Teams: Experience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferred.
- Middle East Experience: Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage.
