Job Purpose:

As a key member of our team at Oil and Gas Job Search Ltd, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) performance across our operations. This includes monitoring and implementing HSE management systems, providing support to functions and personnel, and contributing to the development of safety programs and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review reports and feedback from group companies to ensure timely support for HSE-related matters.
  • Monitor HSE compliance and performance, participating in complex inspections to ensure adherence to HSE standards and procedures.
  • Provide support and facilitate understanding of HSE management systems and company policies.
  • Review purchasing standards to ensure equipment and materials meet safety codes and conform to the latest technology.
  • Contribute to the development of safety programs and ensure the availability of safety manuals, hazardous area instructions, and safety materials.
  • Prepare and update safety inspection checklists and schedules for surveying group companies' facilities.
  • Participate in HSE-related studies, such as HSE impact assessments, HAZOP, HAZID, root cause analysis, and risk assessments.
  • Audit, review, and assess deployed projects and initiatives to ensure sustainable development.
  • Analyze accidents and recommend actions to minimize recurrence.
  • Investigate accidents and participate in investigations as per HSE management instructions.
  • Participate in reviewing and amending company audit and management of contractors procedures.
  • Participate in implementing level 2 internal audits and self-assessed audits at site level.
  • Participate in implementing level 3 audits at the corporate level.

Supervision:

As a supervisor, you will be responsible for planning, supervising, and coordinating activities in your assigned area to meet functional objectives. You will also train and develop assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver business objectives.

Budgets:

You will provide input for preparing function/division/department/section budgets, assist in implementing approved budgets, and work plans to deliver business objectives. You will also investigate and highlight significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures:

You will implement approved function/division/department/section policies, processes, systems, standards, and procedures to support execution of work programs in line with company and international standards. You will also comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations.

Performance Management:

You will contribute to achieving approved performance objectives for the function/division/department/section in line with the company performance framework.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

You will design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes. You will also identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with best industry standards.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability:

You will comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, and controls, and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices, and ADNOC Code of Practices.

Reports:

You will provide inputs to prepare management information systems (MIS) and progress reports for company management.

Internal Communications & Working Relationships:

You will have regular work contacts with all levels in the organization, primarily with senior and middle management during the development and follow-up of corrective/preventive action plans and all related post-audit follow-ups. You will also have regular contacts with similar counterparts in the ADNOC Group of Companies, operating companies affiliated to the Supreme Petroleum Council to provide advice and for exchange of expertise and work coordination purposes.

External Communications & Working Relationships:

You will have regular contacts with consultants, external bodies, auditors, ADNOC/Shareholders Auditors.

Minimum Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in safety, industrial engineering, or any related engineering fields.

Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

6 years of experience, including at least 3 years as a safety or HSE engineer. Experience in HSE project implementation, HSE inspection, and HSE systems. Experience in all or at least one of the following fields: drilling, operations, construction, petrochemicals, and refinery.
