Cybersecurity Systems Engineer

At Duncan & Ross, we are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, installing, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining our server virtualization infrastructure and architecture.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and Implementation: Design and implement server virtualization infrastructure and architecture to ensure optimal performance and security.
- VM Management: Build, configure, and deploy virtual machines (VMs) and templates to support our business needs.
- Performance Optimization: Fine-tune VM configurations to achieve the best performance and resource consumption.
- Issue Detection and Resolution: Detect and resolve virtual machine issues, ensuring that our infrastructure meets the required standards and requirements.
- Patching and Updates: Manage ESXi and VM patch updates to ensure our systems remain secure and up-to-date.
- Capacity Planning: Regularly check infrastructure capacity and plan tasks for the team to ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Documentation: Document processes and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
- Hardware Setup: Set up new hardware to support our virtualized infrastructure.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory and documentation of our infrastructure.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot complex issues and document incident resolution for all related incidents.
- Access Management: Administer accounts, network rights, and access to OT/ICS Cybersecurity systems and equipment.
- Security Maintenance: Maintain baseline system security for OT/ICS Cybersecurity Systems and supported infrastructure according to organizational policies and operational standards.
- Cybersecurity Activities: Perform visiting site activities to ensure related cybersecurity activities are completed.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: More than 10 years of experience in information security and ISMS/CSMS development and implementation, with at least 5 years of experience in IT/OT Cybersecurity consultancy/operation, preferably in the oil and gas domain.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, ability to work independently and as part of a team, experience with security frameworks and standards, and professional security certifications.
