**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Cashier Operations Specialist to join our team at the Radisson Hotel Group. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our cash handling processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Count and Verify Cash:** Collect and count the contents of all cashiers' envelopes dropped on a daily basis, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  2. Process Daily Deposits:** Include all checks or money orders in the daily deposits to the bank, maintaining a secure and efficient process.
  3. Prepare Daily Reports:** Generate and review the General Cashier's daily report, highlighting any discrepancies or irregularities.
  4. Manage Cash Floats:** Reimburse cashiers for disbursements or due backs made by them, and properly account for all disbursements made from the General Cashier's float.
  5. Conduct Surprise Counts:** Safeguard hotel funds by conducting regular independent surprise counts of the General Cashier's float, ensuring accuracy and security.
  6. Secure the Cashier's Office:** Ensure the General Cashier's office is secure at all times, with no unauthorized personnel allowed access.
  7. Transfer Funds:** Ensure adequate security measures are in place for the transferring of funds to or from the hotel, maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
  8. Train Cashiers:** Provide clear instructions to cashiers on how to handle their funds and secure them from loss, promoting a culture of security and responsibility.
  9. Reconcile House Funds:** Ensure the physical house funds are in agreement with the house funds General Ledger account, reconciling on a monthly basis.
  10. Report Discrepancies:** Bring any discrepancies or irregularities to the attention of superiors, maintaining transparency and accountability.
  11. Secure Access:** Safeguard and secure access to the General Cashier's cash floats and safe at all times, adhering to established protocols.
  12. Handle Requests:** Handle all requests and inquiries in a timely, efficient, and friendly manner, providing exceptional customer service.
  13. Maintain Files:** Maintain adequate and up-to-date files, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  14. Be Flexible:** Be flexible in relation to working hours, especially at month-end, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to the team's success.
  15. Disburse Petty Cash:** Disburse petty cash only on the presentation of a petty cash voucher approved by the Hotel Finance Lead, maintaining a secure and efficient process.
  16. Issue Accounts Payable Checks:** Issue Accounts Payable checks to suppliers and keep a record of all issued checks, preparing a summary and giving it to the Accounts Payable officer at the end of the day.
  17. Reconcile Petty Cash:** Properly record, reconcile, and prepare for reimbursement; prepare and review all Petty Cash on a weekly basis, ensuring all transactions have supporting documentation.
  18. Additional Tasks:** Perform any additional tasks assigned to ensure that the hotel functions smoothly, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.
