Key Responsibilities:

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  1. Support the Senior Financial Controller in preparing budgets for the company, ensuring accuracy and reliability of key assumptions.
  2. Monitor and control operating budgets, investigating variances and providing recommendations for improvement.
  3. Assist in re-forecasting budgets during quarterly financial reviews, considering market conditions and business requirements.
  4. Develop and maintain budgeting and forecasting processes, including calendar, templates, and guidelines.

Management Reporting:

  1. Support Finance Managers in managing and maintaining month-end actual reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timeliness.
  2. Perform analysis and prepare standalone and aggregated periodic management packs.
  3. Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for reporting at the divisional and business unit levels.

P&L and Balance Sheet Management:

  1. Ensure adherence to governance guidelines for P&L and Balance Sheet financial statement items.
  2. Ensure timely posting of related transactions during each month-end closure.
  3. Update trend reports and schedules with relevant KPIs on a monthly basis.
  4. Review and analyze misstatements under each Balance Sheet G/L account.
  5. Liaise with various teams to identify and resolve key issues.

Commercial Finance and Business Support Analysis:

  1. Support analysis of investments and capital expenditures.
  2. Conduct principal analysis, including yen impact and payment terms.
  3. Analyze inventory, sales, and gross margin by channel.
  4. Prepare analysis by showroom or facility.
  5. Perform PCP and lease analysis.
  6. Support strategic sourcing and cost optimization opportunities.

FP&A Financial Reporting Systems & Dashboards:

  1. Understand the end-to-end process of SAP, BPC, and BIW systems.
  2. Develop and maintain dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, and Alteryx, resolving data reconciliation differences and advising on enhancements.

Requirements:

  • Automotive experience, preferably with a strong understanding of aftersales operations and KPIs.
  • Strong planning experience.
  • Good working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP, with hands-on experience building Alteryx workflows.
  • Proven track record of preparing presentations for senior stakeholders.

About the Team:

You will be reporting to the Senior Financial Controller.

What equips you for the role:

  • Qualified in finance, accounting, or equivalent.
  • Automotive experience preferable.
  • 4-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, written, and interpersonal skills, and proven ability to work with business finance teams and various stakeholders.
  • Established record in managing multiple and competing priorities. Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Presentation skills to convey complex financial concepts to senior management.
  • Able to identify, act, and implement ideas that drive continuous improvement.
  • Strong capabilities in complex financial modeling.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of SAP BPC, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Tableau, Alteryx, and Power BI preferable.
  • Work independently with limited supervision. A self-starter, with a passion to act while focusing on delivering results.
