Job Summary

As a Technical Manager at China National Chemical Engineering & Construction Corporation seven Middle East L.L.C, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support to site operations in Engineering and Construction activities to achieve the targets and completion of projects within budget and on time in a most efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reporting Structure: The Technical Manager will report directly to the Construction Manager.
  • Technical Support: Assist the Construction Manager in technical matters related to the Works of the Project.
  • Document Review: Conduct technical review of construction documents and advise the Project Director on all technical related issues.
  • Design Changes: Respond to design changes and interact with commercial, planning and contract departments.
  • Team Management: Management of project site technical department comprising of technical engineers and CAD drafters.
  • Document Preparation: Manage preparation and review of technical documents such as Shop drawings, RFI's, its submission following the submittal plans.
  • Communication: Liaise and follow-through with the consultant, client, authorities and third parties to clarify technical matters and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Subcontractor Review: Review the technical submittals of subcontractors for ensuring adequacy to contract requirements.
  • Meetings and Discussions: Attend meetings with Client / Consultant / Subcontractors / Suppliers on technical matters.
  • Document Control: Implement control of Drawings and Technical Documents related to the Project.
  • Engineering Support: Provide engineering support to resolve technical issues if any.
  • Meetings with Design Consultant: Arrange for meetings with design consultant to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures and construction problems.
  • Additional Assignments: Perform other assignments associated with this position as may be appropriate and as requested by project head.
