About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Dining Service Associate to join the F&B Service team in a prestigious hospitality establishment. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Greet guests with a warm welcome and smile, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Cater to their requirements by taking food and beverage orders, serving food and beverages to customers, and attending to their needs in a timely and efficient manner.
- Communicate orders to the kitchen effectively, memorize the menu, and offer recommendations to upsell appetizers, desserts, drinks, and other items in line with the establishment's standard operating procedure.
- Answer inquiries about food and beverage items on the menu, providing detailed information on ingredients, cooking methods, and preparation techniques.
- Assist guests by explaining how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients, and highlighting the establishment's commitment to quality and excellence.
- Be aware of allergy information on menu items and inform guests where necessary or inquired.
- Inform guests of daily specials or special items/promotions not listed on the menu, highlighting the establishment's commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction.
- Check customer identification to ensure they meet alcohol legal age requirements or requirements as per local law.
- Offer food and wine suggestions, take food and beverage orders accurately, including any special requests, and inform the kitchen accordingly.
- Work with bartenders to fill beverage orders and with kitchen staff to process and expedite food orders, ensuring seamless service delivery.
- Deliver and serve food at tables, using established food handling and serving techniques as per the establishment's standards.
About You:
- One year of experience in the same position in a restaurant sector, preferably within a 5-star hotel, luxury restaurant, or upscale bar setting.
- Fluent in English and an additional international language is a plus.
- Knowledge of Food and Beverage applications, such as Micros and Sevenrooms.
- Passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences and a commitment to providing outstanding service.
