This role is part of our team responsible for supporting crane maintenance operations on client platforms, adhering to EnerMech processes and procedures. The successful candidate will demonstrate safety leadership and continuous development in all aspects of crane, lifting, and support service activities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To carry out maintenance duties offshore as directed by the Crane Supervisor or Crane Foreman.
  • Assign, direct, and manage lifting maintenance teams to ensure specified tasks are performed efficiently, fulfilling required standards.
  • Direct and carry out preventive tasks as per schedule for the proper upkeep of equipment. Assess PM/CM/BK outcomes and failures to update PM scope.
  • Plan and manage predictive maintenance activities on all lifting equipment, in close consultation with the line Team Leader, to execute safely, effectively, efficiently, and economically.
  • Prepare and plan major inspections & overhauls for Pedestal Cranes, Lifeboat davit, & gantry cranes, and monitor efficient and timely completion of works.
  • Draft work orders and prepare for planned major shutdown activities through a maintenance management system (SAP), in close liaison with line Team Leaders, to determine priorities, prepare detailed work schedules, minimize downtime, and cost.
  • Identify and analyze chronic problems, breakdowns, and malfunctions to perform effective remedial actions, minimizing potential impacts on safety, environments, and production operations; including arranging spares, special tools, and material requirements and directing the team accordingly.
  • Liaise with relevant personnel in Production, Safety, and other Departments to obtain PTW, risk assessment, safe job analysis, and toolbox talks as per activity requirement.
  • Ensure all maintenance and technical documentation is completed correctly. Prepare regular work reports and specific technical reports when required, and maintain a record of all maintenance activities for easy access to internal and external auditors and surveyors.
  • Identify and evaluate critical asset spares inventory, consumables, and special tools. Initiate purchase requisitions as required to support operation requirements, consulting with line Team Leader.
  • Follow up on obsolete spare parts, check availability or equivalent, and retrofit/upgrade/replacement of obsolete spares.
  • Evaluate and verify employee performance through review of completed work assignments and work techniques. Identify staff development and training needs and ensure training is obtained and appraise their performance on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Maintain high level of HSE awareness and continue with risk assessments, toolbox talks, monthly safety meetings, and HSE observations, fully complying with all HSE requirements.
  • Ensure incidents are correctly reported to enable correction of situation and help prevent similar future occurrences.
  • Initiate Work Permit by entering necessary details, receiving it, and complying with its requirements.
  • Be fully aware and understand all relevant regulations and procedures of PTW system.
  • In event of emergency, ensure work is suspended, worksite is left in safe condition, all sources of ignition have been extinguished, and all machinery has been switched off.
