Parsons Oman is seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. As a Structural Engineer - Bridge Repair and Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for supervising repair and maintenance works of substructures and steel bridge components.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Review contractor submittals, including shop drawings, technical submittals, test reports, progress reports, method of statements, documents transmittals, materials submittals, and RFI's.
  2. Perform site inspections to verify existing conditions during repair or maintenance and provide construction support.
  3. Identify non-conforming works or materials and notify the contractor, maintaining a proper record.
  4. Follow up on corrective and preventive measures taken by the contractor.
  5. Monitor progress and identify potential issues that may impact timelines or quality.
  6. Ensure compliance of works to design requirements, specifications, and project plan.
  7. Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
  2. Minimum 5 years' experience in general maintenance of structures.
  3. Experience in maintenance of steel bridge projects is essential.
  4. Good knowledge of contractual relationships.
  5. Computer literacy and ability to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, and generate reports.

Desirable Skills:

  1. Proactive and problem-solving personality.
  2. Good communication and coordination skills.
