Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Food Safety Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for guaranteeing the quality and safety of our food offerings. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards in food safety and hygiene practices.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Implement and Maintain Food Safety Practices: Develop and execute effective strategies to prevent contamination, implement routine food safety assessments, and ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
  2. Supervise Kitchen Operations: Manage the daily kitchen operations, including dish room management, night cleaning, back dock cleaning, banquet plating, and food running.
  3. Train and Educate Staff: Provide guidance and training to kitchen staff on proper food handling, preparation, and storage procedures.
  4. Monitor and Improve Processes: Continuously assess and improve kitchen processes to maintain the highest level of food safety and quality.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (food science, hospitality, or related field).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in food safety and quality assurance.
  • Proven track record of implementing and maintaining effective food safety systems.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with ISO 22000 implementation and FMC software.

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be based in Sharjah and will be required to commute or relocate before starting work. A driving license is preferred.
