Job Roles & Responsibilities
  1. Audit Management: Oversee audit activities in line with the approved audit schedule, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  2. Audit Planning: Contribute to audit planning by gathering background information and preparing schedules, identifying areas of risk and potential audit findings.
  3. Compliance Monitoring: Review organizational activities to ensure adherence to management instructions, policies, and procedures, detecting and reporting any deviations or non-compliance.
  4. Non-Compliance Investigation: Identify and investigate instances of non-compliance with established procedures, taking corrective action to prevent recurrence.
  5. Transaction Monitoring: Regularly monitor transactions as per AFEX Compliance guidelines and report inconsistencies, ensuring accurate and reliable financial information.
  6. Internal Controls Assessment: Evaluate existing internal controls to determine their effectiveness in achieving company objectives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  7. Training Review: Assess the effectiveness of AML training materials used by Compliance, ensuring that employees have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their roles.
  8. Financial Information Review: Examine methods for identification, classification, and reporting of financial information to ensure reliability and relevance, detecting any discrepancies or anomalies.
  9. AML Policy Review: Ensure AML policies are followed in transactions, preventing money laundering and terrorist financing.
  10. KYC & Onboarding Review: Review KYC and onboarding documents for individual and corporate clients, assessing onboarding policies and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  11. Additional Duties: Perform any other tasks assigned by the department head or management, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Job Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a field related to finance, accounting, or business.
  2. Experience: 3 - 6 years of relevant experience in internal audit, compliance, or a related field.
  3. Qualifications: CA, ACCA or CA Inter, with additional qualifications in internal audit such as CIA, CFE, etc., and relevant certifications in Compliance and internal audit.
  4. Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office, with strong data analysis capabilities. Experience with Pentana AMS is a plus.
  5. Skills: Detail-oriented, strong analytical skills, mature and logical thinking, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
