Al Nahiya Group is seeking a highly skilled Operations Specialist to support the Vice President - Technical in planning, managing, and coordinating activities to ensure that Operations targets are met, operations are maintained safely and efficiently in accordance with Company policies, objectives, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Vice President - Technical to develop and implement long and short-term production programs, including attending Departmental meetings to discuss existing capacities, capabilities, conditions of plant and equipment, and time constraints.
- Analyze operating history data, identify chronic failures and problems, and participate in Root Cause Analysis to develop recovery strategies for upgrades and modifications to improve reliability.
- Assist the Vice President - Technical in coordinating work between the Technical Department, Projects, and Engineering Division to plan short and long-term activities and meet the needs of the Plant.
- Lead weekly and monthly operational planning to ensure effective cost control and resource allocation.
- Liaise with onshore companies to resolve operational issues and ensure seamless communication.
- Participate in the preparation of Capital and Operating budgets, monitor and reconcile capital and operating expenditure against planned budget, and investigate and address any variances.
- Plan unit tests to improve reliability or throughput, working closely with relevant departments such as Maintenance, Production Engineering, or Contractors.
Academic Qualification: B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering or equivalent operating experience.
Work Experience: 10 years' experience in operations in oil & gas, petrochemical, or gas processing or solids handling, with 5 years in a supervisory role.
Professional Certifications: None
Job Skills: Strong people management, leadership, and team building skills, with good inter-personnel, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities. Fluent in written and spoken English with good presentation skills.
