About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage joinery projects from inception to completion for KOJ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and procurement schedules.
  • Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication, understanding of project requirements, and managing expectations.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage project teams, including joiners, carpenters, subcontractors, and site personnel; provide guidance and support to ensure project goals are achieved.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee all aspects of the joinery work, ensuring that all materials and craftsmanship meet company standards and client specifications.
  • Cost Control: Monitor project expenses, control costs, and prepare regular budget reports to ensure the project stays within financial limits.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies; handle any project-related issues or disputes that may arise.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all site activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track project progress against key milestones; provide regular updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Vendor & Supplier Coordination: Manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, permits, and progress reports.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management, specifically within the joinery or fit-out industry.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of joinery techniques, materials, and processes.
  • Excellent project management skills, with experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and AutoCAD.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and costs.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Certifications: PMP or other project management certifications are a plus.
