Job Title: Traffic Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Traffic Engineer to join our team at Management Solutions International MSI. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing traffic signal timing plans, conducting traffic studies and analysis, and ensuring compliance with transportation regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct traffic studies and analysis to assess traffic flow, congestion, safety, and efficiency within transportation networks.
  • Design and optimize traffic signal timing plans and phasing sequences to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion at intersections.
  • Assist in the design of roadway geometrics, including lane configurations, signage, pavement markings, and traffic calming measures.
  • Assess the impact of proposed developments on traffic operations and safety, and recommend mitigation measures as needed.
  • Utilize traffic simulation software to model and evaluate the performance of transportation systems under various scenarios.
  • Identify hazardous road conditions and recommend safety improvements, such as signage upgrades, road markings, and traffic calming measures.
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, standards, and guidelines in all traffic engineering projects.
  • Manage traffic engineering projects from inception to completion, including scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, transportation engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in traffic engineering or related roles, with expertise in traffic analysis, signal design, and roadway design.
  • Proficiency in traffic engineering software, such as Synchro/Sidra HCS and AutoCAD.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret traffic data and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
