Procurement Director

Desert Face Trading LLC is seeking a highly experienced Procurement Director to lead our procurement department. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial position and a proven track record of driving performance and business results.
- Liaise with key company employees to determine their product and service needs
- Perform all procurement activities including pre-qualification, negotiating supplier agreements, preparation of contracts and tender management
- Delegate tasks and supervise the work of Purchasing and Procurement Agents across all departments
- Identify areas for improvement to continually drive performance and business results
- Lead a team of Purchasing Agents and delegate tasks across departments when necessary
- Manage overall direction, coordination and evaluation of procurement for the organisation
- Develop strong relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to improve business
- Create policies and procedures for risk management and mitigation
- Devise and use fruitful sourcing strategies
- Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organisation partnerships
- Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
- Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
- Finalise purchase details of orders and deliveries
- Examine and test existing contracts
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
- Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
- Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients
- Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies
- Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
- Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
