Key Responsibilities
  1. Safety First: Actively follow all safety and security policies to ensure a secure working environment.
  2. Cargo Handling: Operate hoists and winches to lift and pull loads, utilizing power-operated cable equipment, including moving levers and throttles.
  3. Equipment Awareness: Be aware of the start and stop speeds of hoist or winch drums in response to various signals, including hand, bell, telephone, and radio signals.
  4. Load Management: Use levers and pedals to wind or unwind cable on drums to lift or ground the cargo load, ensuring the load position and centre of gravity are verified.
