Offshore Riggers
- Have experience working offshore with minimum 1 year experience on SPM
- Have familiarity with technical aspects of mooring assemblies, cargo hose ancillary equipment including tanker manifold hose connection and tanker basket equipment
- Compulsory training courses to be completed such as STCW, Safe lifting and rigging, H2s Opito, chemical handing.
- ADNOC Medical fitness category compliance
- Should proceed with client safety standards and site specific requirements

JOB PURPOSE

Set up rigging for offshore loading terminals (SPM’s) to connect or disconnect loading hoses to oil tankers as needed to fulfil the operating requirements

3. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Job Specific Accountabilities

1. Follow all standard operating procedures to carry out rigging procedures at the Offshore Loading terminals

2. Set up rigging for Offshore loading terminals (SPM’s) to connect or disconnect loading hoses to oil tankers as needed to fulfil the operating requirements

3. Select rigging gear, such as cables, pulleys, and winches, according to load weight, size, operational requirement, and work schedule to carry out rigging operations.

4. Clean and dress machine surfaces and component parts in preparation for rigging operations.

5. Assemble and install supporting structures, rigging, hoists, and pulling gear, using hand and power tools to carry out rigging operations.

6. Control movement of heavy rigging equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces.

7. Test Rigging to ensure safety and reliability

8. Dismantle, maintain, and store rigging equipment.

Generic Accountabilities

Safety
- Implement all standard safety operating procedures, instructions, and precautions to ensure a safe working environment for self and others
- Provide assistance in all emergency situations to ensure safety of personnel and protection of equipment and gear against damage

Housekeeping
- Keep the working environment clean and tidy so that the rigging operations can be carried out in an orderly and safe manner in line with the company standards

4. COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Internal
- Offshore Rigger Foreman, Team members on the boat.

External
- Contract staff working offshore

5. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Minimum Qualification
- School certificate (10th standard) with a good understanding of the standard rigging operating procedures and the safety procedures and precautions
- Must be physically fit and able to swim
- Must be able to use wireless handheld radios
- Must have good seamanship
- Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

2 years’ experience as an Offshore Rigger

Professional Certifications
- Rigging and Slinging.

6. TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- Basic English Language literacy and ability to read and implement the standard operating procedures manual.

7. BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES
- Ability to learn and practice the standard safety and operating procedures, safety consciousness, teamwork:
