Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Procurement Manager to join our team at JobItUs. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of buyers with varying degrees of Oil & Gas procurement experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: You will be responsible for mentoring less experienced staff from a technical and commercial perspective, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
- Tender Analysis: You will analyze full technical tenders and develop commercial Bill of Materials (BOMs) to enable procurement specialists to issue Requests for Quotes (RFQs).
- Procurement Strategies: You will be accountable for developing and approving Bid-Lists and purchase orders up to a certain limit of authority, as well as developing procurement strategies that meet the needs of our clients.
- Vendor Evaluation: You will review vendor quotes and evaluate them for technical compliance with client requirements, making recommendations to clients based on their Total Cost of Ownership.
- Contract Management: You will interface with buyers and suppliers to ensure complete and accurate submittals are received and evaluated in order to meet client deadlines, and ensure awards of Contracts and Purchase Orders are in compliance with customer specifications.
Requirements:
- Education: You will have a B.Tech Mechanical Degree and at least 20 years of experience within a similar supply chain organization, within the Oil & Gas environment.
- Customer Focus: You will have the ability to act in a customer-facing role and comprehend the challenges of our company customers, recommending solutions to meet their needs.
- Technical Knowledge: You will have deep technical knowledge of the Oil & Gas tendering process, with a strong ability to translate detailed technical documentation and drawings into commercial item requirements for procurement.
- Market Knowledge: You will have knowledge of the Middle East Oil & Gas Supplier market.
- Procurement Experience: You will have sourcing, purchasing, risk management, and vendor management experience.
- Communication Skills: You will be computer literate with good oral and written communication skills in English.
