Job Description

Job Summary

The Director of Financial Operations will play a critical role in driving financial excellence at Raffles. This senior financial manager will be responsible for leading the financial planning and analysis function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to the hotel's leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning and Analysis
    • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to inform business decisions
    • Provide regular financial reporting and analysis to the hotel's leadership team
    • Identify areas for cost savings and implement process improvements
  • Financial Reporting
    • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly close and year-end audit
    • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement
    • Develop and maintain financial dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Strategic Financial Guidance
    • Provide strategic financial guidance to the hotel's leadership team
    • Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability
    • Collaborate with department heads to identify areas for cost savings and process improvements
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Lead and manage a team of financial analysts and accountants
    • Develop and implement training programs to ensure team members have the necessary skills and knowledge
    • Provide coaching and mentoring to team members to ensure career development and growth
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and laws
    • Identify and mitigate financial risks, including credit risk, market risk, and operational risk

Requirements

  • Education
    • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Experience
    • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a senior financial role
    • Experience in hospitality or a related industry preferred
  • Skills
    • Strong financial planning and analysis skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to lead and manage a team
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Experience with financial systems and software
