- Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate ambulance operations, including scheduling and dispatching ambulances.
- Respond to emergency calls, assess patients, and provide critical care.
- Manage emergency response situations, including evaluating the nature and extent of illnesses/injuries and determining the right course of action.
- Communicate with medical personnel and treatment facilities to obtain instructions regarding further treatment.
- Manage critically injured/ill patients by providing medical aid such as AED/Defibrillator, CPR, and stabilizing their condition.
- Perform peripheral intravenous cannulation and administer medications as prescribed.
- Administer crystalloid IV solutions and manage shock.
- Provide care for soft tissue injuries and control bleeding through direct pressure.
- Immobilize suspected fractures using spinal boards, cervical collars, and splints.
- Assist with pre-hospital childbirth and ventilate patients as needed.
- Obtain capillary blood specimens for glucose monitoring and perform cardiac defibrillation as required.
- Requirements
- Internationally recognized EMT-P certification or equivalent.
- At least two years of experience in emergency medical services.
- Current licensure in country of origin and DOH license to practice in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
- Fluent spoken and written English; Arabic language desirable but not essential.
