  • Guide a team of engineers in the development, testing, modification, implementation, and validation of solutions to technical challenges, while optimizing existing systems including equipment, machinery, and processes.
  • Deliver performance reports on engineering activities during individual meetings with upper management, team gatherings, and formal reviews.
  • Engage in New Product Introduction (NPI), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) processes as necessary.
  • Evaluate the technical precision of the engineering team's outputs and endorse or suggest modifications as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience or training; or a combination of education and experience in a related field. Experience in the relevant industry is advantageous.
  • Exhibit a positive and professional demeanor, demonstrating the ability to collaborate effectively and work independently.
  • Proven leadership and team-building capabilities.
  • Must be an innovative thinker, contributing significantly to the engineering strategy while balancing the need for timely deliverables.
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong listening and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to draft reports, business correspondence, and procedural documentation.
  • Ability to present information effectively, respond to inquiries, and engage with all organizational levels.
  • Competence in reading, analyzing, and interpreting various business documents, professional literature, technical guidelines, or regulatory requirements. Proficient in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Capable of effectively presenting information and addressing questions from diverse groups, including management, clients, and the public.
