Job Overview

As an Audio-Visual Technician at Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless execution of events through effective management of audio-visual equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Setup: Prepare and verify all necessary equipment for event functions according to the daily function sheets, including the organization of equipment storage.
  • Operational Support: Execute assigned tasks to guarantee the proper and efficient setup of all events.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate audio-visual equipment during events as required.
  • Inventory Management: Conduct monthly inventories of all equipment utilized for events.
  • Log Management: Maintain a daily log of all incoming and outgoing equipment requested for events and external catering.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Participate in the 'Preventive Maintenance Programme' to ensure all equipment is in optimal condition.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with fellow engineering team members whenever necessary.
  • Workplace Cleanliness: Uphold cleanliness and organization within the A/V control room and storage areas.
  • Facility Inspection: Inspect all event spaces daily, ensuring all lighting, air conditioning, and services are functioning properly, and address any issues immediately.
  • Task Execution: Complete any additional tasks as directed by superiors.
  • Safety Compliance: Operate in a manner that prioritizes the health and safety of guests and staff, while also being environmentally conscious.
  • Regulatory Adherence: Follow all fire, health, and safety regulations, ensuring proper procedures are adhered to in various situations.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly and efficiently to all emergency calls.
  • BMS Proficiency: Maintain a thorough understanding of the Building Management System (BMS) to ensure its continuous functionality.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in event operations across multiple venues.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
  • Positive attitude and an engaging personality.
  • A passion for music and fashion, with a desire to elevate experiences.
  • Administrative skills are advantageous.
