Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electromechanical Technician to join our team at NOV. As an Electromechanical Technician, you will be responsible for assembling and testing equipment and products according to engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and Interpret Technical Documents: Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
  • Carry Out Work Instructions: Carry out work instructions as given by Supervisor, including work specifications and equipment operation.
  • Monitor and Control Materials: Monitor and control materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or faults.
  • Identify and Document Defects: Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
  • Rework and Repair Equipment: Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
  • Maintain Quality and Quantity: Maintain quality and quantity of production.
  • Check Work via Gauges and Measuring Tools: Check work via use of gauges, visuals, and measuring tools.
  • Maintain a Clean and Organized Workspace: Maintain an organized/visual workspace including inventory (5S understanding).
  • Support Key Initiatives: Support key initiatives such as on-time delivery, schedule attainment, cost of quality.
  • Generate and Implement Improvement Ideas: Generate and implement improvement ideas and encourage idea generation among team members and stop work for safety, stop production for quality, and escalate concerns.
  • Evaluate Production Estimates and Outputs: Evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
  • Support NCR Reporting: Support all NCR reporting.
  • Support New Techniques and Products: Support initiatives such as new techniques and products, purchases of new machinery.

Requirements

  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with technical drawings, specifications, and procedures.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
