About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Reservoir Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our reservoir management team, you will be responsible for providing expert engineering input to multidisciplinary projects, including field development planning, reservoir performance analyses, and reservoir estimation of production/injection capacities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate and work with geoscientists on reservoir characterization and upscaling.
  2. Develop and build full-field simulation models, history match, and use them in predictions.
  3. Conduct quality checks and consistency of simulation models, history match scenarios with respect to geological model characteristics.
  4. Develop characterization of reservoir fluids and Equation of State (EOS) modeling, calibration, and convert simple black oil models to compositional.
  5. Diagnose model convergence and run-time problems.
  6. Coordinate with technical centers in designing IOR/EOR methods (WI, Immiscible GI, Miscible GI, and Surfactant and polymer injection) to enhance recovery and pressure maintenance methods.
  7. Apply different methods of reserves estimation using probabilistic and deterministic methods (Mbal, DCA, and simulation models sensitivities).
  8. Identify required actions using simulation models for maximizing recovery/meeting current production quotas, design, follow up, QC, and analyze reservoir studies e.g. RCA, SCAL, and PVT.
  9. Conduct special simulation studies for field development optimization (well pacing, infill wells, advanced wells, pilots).
  10. Apply multiphase flow in the reservoir, effective permeability concept, and correlations for relative permeability.
  11. Integrate pressure and production test results for reservoir simulation and management decisions.
  12. Contribute to reservoir monitoring programs and data gathering with effective cost programs to enable collecting necessary data to help best reservoir management and reduce uncertainties.
  13. Liaise with contractors conducting the study, analyze, and review findings and actions study recommendations.
  14. Participate in periodic updates and validation of the database with monthly production/injection data and descriptions to display wells, reservoir, and field performance for appropriate distribution and simulation model recalibration.
Requirements
  1. 15 years of experience/hands-on reservoir simulation (Intersect, t-NAV, CMG).
  2. Good experience in black oil and compositional simulation modeling.
  3. Design IOR/EOR methods (WI, Immiscible GI, Miscible GI, Surfactant and polymer injection) using simulation models for maximizing recovery and meeting production quotas.
  4. Reservoir and production operations knowledge.
  5. Analytical reservoir characterization (Material Balance) knowledge.
  6. Numerical reservoir simulation (Eclipse, Intersect).
  7. Pressure transient analysis and well performance knowledge, PVT modeling.
