Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management
- Lead, manage, and develop the accounting team, providing mentorship, training, and performance evaluations.
- Develop departmental goals, policies, and procedures to align with the company's objectives.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and foster a high-performance team environment.
- Financial Reporting and Compliance
- Oversee the preparation and submission of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations.
- Coordinate and manage audits, working closely with external auditors to ensure proper financial oversight.
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Collaborate with senior leadership in budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting.
- Analyze financial data to provide insights into company performance and inform strategic decisions.
- Monitor budgets and expenses to optimize financial performance and resource allocation.
Requirements
- Holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field such as CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification.
- 8 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership abilities with a track record of team development and success.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective cross-departmental collaboration and reporting to senior management.
- Experience in international and UAE accounting rules and standards, and compliance with them in all transactions, financial reports, and accounting registration with the Authority.
