This position necessitates a complete relocation. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the investment decision-making process by establishing a comprehensive portfolio risk framework, which includes preparing and delivering risk monitoring and performance reports to the Investment division and Chief Investment Officer for further dissemination to the Investment Committee, along with operational risk assessments for the Operations Committee and Board.
- Conduct detailed risk assessments on private market investments, encompassing funds, secondaries, and co-investments.
- Oversee the overall risk exposure of the investment portfolio, ensuring adherence to concentration limits across various dimensions such as investment type, geographic region, counterparty, and industry.
- Collaborate with the Risk & Analytics team to generate risk reports for the Investment Committee, focusing on asset, program, and portfolio levels.
- Assist in the identification, development, and maintenance of investment risk IT systems, ensuring accurate collection and preparation of investment risk data for analysis.
- Proven experience in investment risk management or investment analysis related to private equity, real estate, or infrastructure investments (including direct investments, co-investments, or fund investments).
- Experience managing an investment portfolio for a pension fund, asset management firm, Sovereign Wealth Fund, or similar financial institution is advantageous.
- In-depth understanding of pension fund investment principles and theories, with knowledge of various asset classes; familiarity with private assets is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to liaise and coordinate effectively with investment teams, with a preference for candidates who have experience in the healthcare and software sectors.
- Exceptional relationship management capabilities.
- Ability to oversee multiple risk categories, including credit, market, operational, investment, regulatory, and liquidity risks.
