Job Purpose

The responsibilities of the Senior Lecturer shall be an appropriate combination of dissemination of knowledge through undergraduate and/or graduate teaching and university and community service.

Teaching Responsibilities:
  1. Teach at undergraduate level in subject areas and on time schedules allocated by the Department Chair.
  2. Prepare teaching material including course outline, syllabus, and lesson plans. Revise the subject matter on a regular basis as appropriate for that subject.
  3. Contribute to the development, planning, and implementation of a high-quality curriculum.
  4. Provide students with detailed syllabus, methods of instruction, and evaluation in their courses.
University and Community Service Responsibilities:
  1. Contribute to departmental or University-wide working groups or committees as requested.
  2. Contribute to student recruitment, retention, and placement efforts.
  3. Foster service by contributing to the community at large in a participatory, developmental, or advisory capacity.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree in related discipline from a recognized institution.
  2. A minimum of 8 years of experience relevant to the position.
