Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planning Engineer to join our team at GHD. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing efficient planning functions to ensure the successful delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Development and Implementation of Planning Functions: Develop and implement efficient planning functions, including Work Breakdown Structure, Master schedule review, Manpower Histograms and Cost loading, Progress Measurement System, and coordination.
  • Schedule and Progress Reviews: Conduct schedule and progress reviews, providing recommendations for approval and/or comments on the contractor's schedule submissions, relying on relevant contract terms and conditions and GHD's best practices.
  • Project Status Reports and Dashboards: Produce project status reports and manage project dashboards to ensure timely and accurate information is available to stakeholders.
  • Liaison with Project Management: Liaise with project management teams to support and monitor performance, ensuring adherence to standards and procedures.
  • Time Extension Claims and Forensic Analysis: Review time extension claims, conduct forensic analysis of schedules, and develop risk analysis and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Terminology: Understand and apply engineering, procurement, and construction terminology, concepts, and relationships to develop and maintain critical path logic networks and bar charts.
  • Contractor Schedule and Progress Updates: Review contractor's schedule and progress updates, and weekly and monthly progress reports, validating accuracy of progress data in coordination with the site team.
  • Deviations and Deficiencies: Record any deviations and/or deficiencies in the progress of works, and draft notification letters to contractors highlighting areas of concern in terms of factors affecting the schedule/progress of the works.
  • Progress Reports and Presentations: Lead the development of GHD's weekly and monthly progress reports and progress presentations, taking the lead for all schedule/progress-related data, and coordinating with the project team to collate other inputs (quality, safety, commercial, etc.).
  • Progress Status Presentations: Present progress status at meetings.
