This role is responsible for assisting market personnel in various duties, including receiving merchandise, trimming and scraping meat, and processing items for the meat counter.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in receiving and processing merchandise in the meat department
  • Participate in trimming and scraping meat to prepare it for display
  • Process items such as ground meats, beef skirts, and fresh fish for the meat counter
  • Block and arrange display cases to create an attractive and appealing display
  • Clean and sanitize the processing area, storage cooler, and equipment daily
  • Clean and maintain the freshness and quality of multi-deck and coffin cases
  • Wrap meat for the meat counter and special orders
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have power jack training
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Must be physically able to lift and carry moderately heavy loads (40-60lbs)
  • Must be able to bend, reach, push, and pull
